Deaf and Hard of Hearing Inservice Video Training

Training That is Engaging and Empowering

Just because training is mandatory, does not mean it can not be engaging! Through this video training, teachers will be empowered towards having a greater shared vocabulary and understanding of what their students need.

A New Approach to DHH Training

Developing a basic understanding of the range of needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing doesn't need to be time-consuming or complex. With our engaging training video, staff will be empowered to support students with hearing loss in their classroom and throughout the school. Additionally, many of the recommendations included are Universal Design for Learning which will benefit ALL students in the classroom.

Why DHH Training?

Students with hearing loss are unique from other learners that receive special education services as their challenges are related to a lack of access and language. All of the adults they interact with throughout the school day need a basic understanding of the accommodations needed to support learning and communication for these students.

In our training video, staff will learn about:

  • The unique needs of deaf/hard of hearing students
  • How the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher will support them and the student this year
  • What hearing assistive technology is
  • Accommodations to make the classroom accessible

All in a fun, easy-to-follow format!
