Amber Harlan, M.Ed. Is a licensed Minnesota Special educator with certificates in deaf education and elementary education. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Augustana University in 2005, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Amber completed her Master’s Degree at St. Catherine’s University in Curriculum and Instruction.
Amber has been working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing since January 2006. Amber has spent her teaching career as an itinerant teacher, with proficient skills in communicating with classroom staff to ensure students needs are being met in the mainstream classroom. Amber is highly qualified in supporting students in the development of compensatory skills related to their hearing loss as well as providing direct instruction to students in reading, writing, and math skills.
Amber is excited to be joining the Triumph team and expanding her impact on helping students with hearing loss to be successful in the general education environment. Amber lives in Prior Lake, MN with her husband, her three sons, and her cocker spaniel. She enjoys running, trying out new recipes in her kitchen, and watching her boys play sports (mainly hockey!)
